Wendy Mitchell Sean Martin
wendy-mitchellWendy has responsibility for managing Heathfield Funeral Service and has helped many local families since joining us 11 years ago. Born in Croydon, Wendy has spent the last 35 years living in Tunbridge Wells. Married, with two grown up sons, she is also a proud grand–mother to her beautiful grand-daughters. Having previously worked for BT and Sainsbury’s managing their front of house services, she returned to college to develop her typing and office skills before starting a new challenge in the Funeral Industry and joining Heathfield Funeral Service in 2003. She has become the first port of call to all our bereaved families in and around Heathfield. DSC_9587A Westcountryman by birth, Sean supports Heathfield Funeral Service covering holiday periods. He has enjoyed a 25 year career in Banking and International Private Client Management, working overseas in Switzerland for several years, before returning to the UK in 2006. Sean joined the Waterhouse Family in 2012, is one of our Funeral Directors and is also responsible for our community relationships and supporting the commercial aspects of the business. Having recently moved to Maresfield from Cheshire, he enjoys travelling to distant shores, is a keen choral conductor & trainer, organist & pianist and has been active in supporting the Hospice movement over the years, both as Trustee and Volunteer.
David Rhys-Jones Karen O'Keeffe
DSC06672Whilst born in Oxford, David has lived and worked in Kent & Sussex. Before joining the Waterhouse family in December 2014, he worked in a variety of different industries, gaining a wealth of managerial and operational experience at all levels. David’s duties cover a wide range of responsibilities, from arranging funerals with families, to going out on funerals and is training to become a Funeral Director. David enjoys watching cricket, horse racing, & rugby. k-okeeffeBorn in Woolwich, South East London and moved to Burwash in 1988. Karen had a career in banking in London until 1999, after which she ceased commuting and began working in the copyright and the care sector locally. She joined the Waterhouse Family in 2011 where she works as one of the funeral administrators supporting and caring for bereaved families. Karen lives with her husband in Burwash and enjoys travelling, walking, entertaining, and sewing.
David Hyland
Jacky Woodland

 A Funeral Directdavid-hyland-webor with 37 years experience, David has been working with the Waterhouse Family since 2000. He also has an extensive knowledge in stonemasonry and runs our Memorials company, C W Memorials, supported by Jacky Woodland.

WOODLAND-JackyJacky is married to Tim Waterhouse and has worked in the family business several years. Jacky supports the administration of C W Memorials, our stonemasonry and memorials business, also based in Burwash. Jacky is a keen knitter and well as personal chauffeur to her two boys, Charles and James!
Chris Porter Brian Curtain
chris-porter-webBorn in London, Chris has spent most of his life in the South-East. He started working for the Waterhouse Family in late 2011 after ending a long career in the print industry. Chris works with Brian in maintaining our car fleet, our premises and is one of our bearers. Chris is an avid cinema goer and can often be seen with a different book in his hands on a variety of subjects. CURTAIN-Brian-I Born and raised in Burwash, Brian has worked in the funeral industry locally for over 30 years and for the Waterhouse Family since 2006. He looks after our fleet of vehicles, oversees our workshop facilities and is our Hearse Chauffeur. An avid Arsenal supporter (we can’t help that!) and a family man through and through, his grandchildren are his pride and joy.
Toby Mynott Geoff Keeley

Born and brought up in East Sussex and now living near Tenterden in Kent, Toby spent a considerable part of his early career working abroad before returning to the UK to work in the city. 

Toby is married to Margaret and together they have two sons, who Toby still manages to play tennis, golf and cricket with regularly.

KEELEY, Geoff IGeoff is an East Sussex man, through and through. Born  to  farming parents in Dallington, he still enjoys the tranquil and peaceful life of the Dallington countryside where he continues to live. Widely known to many people through his landscaping and gardening business, Geoff has joined our team of casual bearers, where he has already been very well received by the many families that know him and his family.
Tim Larkin Eddie Fletcher
A Broad Oak chap and well known charachter around these parts, Tim has spent many years in the skilled trades of kitchen fitting and property refurbishment. Now seeking a different challenge, Tim supports us in a casual capcity as part of our bearer team. He loves his classic Mini and has numerous local charitable interests.

Eddie Fletcher IEddie joined us in 2014 as a casual bearer and already is proving a natural at the role. A Heathfield man for decades, he is widely known through his former profession as an accountant in Heathfield and his links with the chapel community through the area. Family and Grandchildren form a major use of his time!
